A little about me -

The face behind The Berry Beginning:

I've spent much of the past decade walking alongside children, young people and families through some of life's more difficult experiences.

At the heart of my work is the belief that our experiences shape us, but they don't have to define who we are or who we become.

I believe meaningful support begins with connection - creating a space where people can feel heard, understood and supported for who they are, what they've been through and where they're hoping to go.

Sometimes that means working directly with a child or young person. Sometimes it means supporting a parent, strengthening an important relationship, working alongside a family, or equipping the people around a child with greater understanding and confidence.

Ultimately, my hope is to offer support that helps people make sense of what they've experienced, strengthen their sense of who they are, and move towards what comes next.

My Approach

At The Berry Beginning, I offer therapeutic support that meets people where they are. This might look like individual therapy for children, young people or adults, through the use of therapeutic modalities such as play therapy, parent-child relationship work or parenting support and assessment, with the intent of walking alongside families to better understand what is happening and what might help.

I work collaboratively, with connection at the center of all I do. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we can work together to understand what you need, what you're hoping for and where feels like the right place to begin. Sometimes the focus is on the individual; sometimes it's on the relationships around them.

My hope is that the people I work with leave feeling a little more understood, a little more confident, and generally better equipped for what's to come next.

My Training, Experience & Ongoing Learning

My work is grounded in professional training, years of experience and a commitment to ongoing learning. I continue to build my knowledge and skills so I can offer thoughtful, informed support that responds to the people and families I work alongside.

When I return from parental leave, I’ll be at Ariston House, offering a limited number of appointments on a Wednesday.

I’ll also be offering very limited out-of-hours sessions via telehealth, for those who need a little more flexibility.
